Cristina Leitão Abreu is the creative director and project manager, head of interior design & new business as well as a Conde Nast Traveller contributor.
London-born, Portugal-based Cristina began her career as a fashion journalist for Cosmopolitan but has spent the last 20 years publishing, writing books & articles, building an interior design practice and creating Funchal Cottages, a business of one of a kind holiday-houses in Portugal.
With her interior design featured in Elle Deco France, AD Spain & The Telegraph, Cristina´s published books also won international awards for good design.
Cristina is also a free-lance travel writer working with publications such as Suitcase Magazine & Conde Nast Traveller.
Ricardo Abreu
Ricardo Abreu is the Financial Director and Connections Director.
Madeira born & bred, Ricardo is our fixer. We break things and he sorts them out. Ricardo is a respected & renowned manager in the golf world, with over 25 years´ experience running golf clubs in Portugal - he also has vast experience in real estate and property development. Ricardo always brings an interesting range of contacts and synergies to our projects together with a business focus.
Amelie Abreu
Amelie Abreu is in charge of social media and all things young & upcoming for the company. Responsible for our communication & marketing strategy, as well as public relations. Amelie develops the content & heads media relations for both Funchal Cottages & Tigre Creative Design.
